About Kazi Mashfiq Ahmed
Kazi Mashfiq Ahmed is a member of the 31st BCS Public Works cadre, serving in PWD for almost 12 years. Currently, he is working as the Executive Engineer at PWD E/M Division-9, Dhaka. He is participating in the BCS PWEA Election 2024 as a candidate for SPORTS SECRETARY, with the motto - “UNITING PWD THROUGH THE POWER OF SPORTS.”
The recreational facilities in Bangladesh are limited, and officers need proper recreation to perform well in their respective job fields. Sports not only help in maintaining physical fitness but also keep the mind cheerful, resulting in better job performance.
Significant Social Activities in PWD
- Arranged Emergency Oxygen Cylinder distribution during COVID-19 for all members of PWD on behalf of the 31st BCS Public Works Forum.
- Involved in Emergency Relief Distribution during various disasters.
- Actively involved in organizing and participating in different sports events across zones, circles, and divisions.
Vision Regarding BCSPWEA
- Organize Inter-zonal tournaments alongside the PWD Premier League, including cricket, football, and badminton tournaments on a regular basis.
- Set up permanent indoor sports facilities for table tennis, billiards, badminton, chess, carom, and more, reducing dependency on weather conditions.
- Organize individual performance-based events like swimming, cycling, and marathon competitions, both indoor and outdoor.
- Ensure the availability of professional trainers in existing gymnasium and swimming pool facilities and expand these facilities further.
- Improve the Dhanmondi-4 Field by upgrading the ground, seating arrangement, and lighting system.
- Initiate permanent tennis and basketball facilities.
